The mission of the Spartansburg Community Foundation is to promote, support and maintain the objectives of the Spartansburg Community for the future of our Community.

AUGUST 19TH - 21ST

Project Purpose

We are repairing the Grange building—now SCF Hall—to serve as a vibrant, multi-purpose hub for education, arts, emergency preparedness, and community engagement. This space has been a cornerstone of Spartansburg’s cultural life, and we aim to preserve its legacy while meeting modern needs.

Our Vision

Short-Term Goals

• Complete interior renovations: walls, ceiling, and stage with sound system.

• Install a functional kitchen (stove, refrigerator, cabinets, tables, chairs, tableware, glassware).

• Add an accessible restroom for all visitors.

• Create a historical balcony display featuring local heritage..

Long-Term Goals

• Establish an emergency shelter for severe weather events.

• Renovate the basement for additional restrooms and meeting space.

• Launch a traveling library, training programs, and after-school activities.

• Host arts and cultural events (e.g., Missoula Children’s Theater).

• Prepare for the 50th Anniversary of Christmas in Spartansburg in 2032.

Community Impact

• A safe, accessible venue for gatherings and cultural enrichment.

• Strengthened social ties and preserved local history.
